Lithograph on paper belonging to the ‘Carnet de la Californie’ series, signed and dated on the plate 14.1.56. Work created as a tribute to Rembrandt, in which Picasso reinterprets the Dutch master's famous ‘Self-Portrait with Helmet’, exploring texture and chiaroscuro through free, gestural strokes.
