Painting ‘Quanyin with Lotus’, signed Zhang Daqian

Watercolour, ink and pigments on paper. The deity stands upright on a lotus-shaped base emerging from a sea of sinuous clouds. The figure is shown holding a lotus flower in her hands, adorned with intricate beaded necklaces and flowing robes. There is an inscription and the signature ‘张大千’ in the upper left margin next to two seals.
