Pair of agarwood bracelets, ‘Plum Blossom and Poem,’ Qing dynasty

Pair of agarwood (Chenxiang) bracelets in a deep brown hue with rich natural grain. They feature a wide, convex circular shape. The exterior of each bracelet is adorned with an incised carving of plum blossom branches, whose sinuous stems are intertwined with an engraved calligraphic inscription containing poetic verses, accompanied by the artist's red seals. Patina and wear due to age are evident. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
