Description.
Set of two cups and saucers carved from translucent yellow jade, with reddish-brown and ochre-coloured spots. The cup has a slightly flared body and a tall pedestal. It is decorated with two curved handles in a stylised design. The saucer is flat, with a lobed petal-shaped rim and supported by three small feet. An engraved seal can be seen on the underside of the plate: ‘乾隆年制’. Qing dynasty (1644-1912).
