Description.
Circular, flat jade panel set in an elaborate dark carved wooden frame (possibly zitan), with orange-toned details of scrollwork, friezes and landscapes. The jade is pure white, with areas of natural amber-coloured patina. The decoration on the front shows a mountain landscape scene in low relief, with pavilions and scholars. The reverse side features an incised poem. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
