Pericón Fan with Mother-of-Pearl Ribbing “Musical Scene” 19th century

Hand-painted silk fan depicting a domestic scene featuring four figures in what appears to be a private music lesson. The signature is partially preserved in the lower right corner. The fan shows slight damage along the upper right edge. Made of mother-of-pearl, delicately crafted and decorated with gold and silver details forming floral and geometric motifs. The piece is housed in a fan case or gilded wooden display cabinet with a fabric-lined interior.
