Vertical icon painted in tempera on wood with a gold leaf background. The piece follows the Orthodox iconography of Our Lady of All Who Sorrow. The Virgin is depicted in the center, wearing an ultramarine blue tunic. She holds the infant Jesus, who wears a crown. The Virgin wears a golden imperial crown and a slender scepter. The upper part contains the inscription “Образь всѣхъ скорбящимъ радость престыя бцы.”
