Description.
Polychrome porcelain with curved, flared walls resting on a short foot. It is decorated with Doucai enamels, depicting a scene of two five-clawed dragons chasing the ‘flaming pearl’ amid stylised clouds and flames. The contours have been outlined in underglaze blue, while the fill has been completed with polychrome enamels (red, green and yellow) over glaze. On the base, the piece bears the six-character mark ‘大明萬曆年製’.
