Description.
A porcelain bowl covered on the outside with fine silver leaf and decorated in the middle with a continuous band of enamel in a warm, even, amber colour. The profile of the bowl is open with a slightly curved rim. The base of the bowl has a silver-covered ring-shaped foot with a profuse decoration of floral and geometric motifs in engraved enamel. On the lower part, a central medallion in relief shows an auspicious conch shell (one of the Eight Buddhist Symbols), surrounded by a border of fretwork and auspicious symbols engraved in high-definition. The interior, which is completely smooth, retains traces of the original silver with patina. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
