Porcelain bowl ‘Fish’, marked Chenghua

Made of white porcelain, it has a semi-spherical shape with thin walls and a slightly flared rim, resting on a straight circular foot. The piece features delicate polychrome enamel decoration, depicting four large carp swimming amongst aquatic plants. The interior of the bowl repeats the central motif. The base bears a six-character mark in the centre: ‘大明成化年制’.
