Porcelain bowl ‘Hutchison Family’, 20th century

Glazed porcelain, in the form of a deep-sided oval dish resting on a tall, flared foot. The sides are decorated with the coat of arms of the Scottish Hutchison family, surmounted by a helmet featuring a phoenix and surrounded by mantling. The upper rim features a geometric border with gold flowers, a design that is repeated on the foot. The base bears a four-character stamp (永勝堂製).
