Porcelain enamel bowl ‘Bats’, 20th century

A fine porcelain bowl with a white background, on which a cluster of curling blue ruyi clouds flutter among four large bats with outspread wings and large eyes, executed in a deep, rust-orange glaze, stand out. These decorate the exterior and interior of the bowl, which has a rounded profile that tapers into a narrow circular base. A six-character seal ‘江西瓷业公司’ inscribed in a double circle is placed on the base.
