Description.
A porcelain dish decorated in ‘Famille Verte’ enamels, with a central scene depicting two ladies in a garden, one seated at a table with writing objects and the other standing holding a fan. The setting includes details of vegetation, rocks and furniture, accompanied by an exotic bird on the table, typical of court scenes of the period. The border is decorated with geometric and floral motifs in shades of green, blue and brown. On the back are floral branches enamelled at various points and an apocryphal seal in blue underglaze that reads ‘大清康熙年製’. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
