Description.
A water vessel with the classic ‘tortoise shell’ silhouette, featuring a hemispherical body with a wide base that tapers into a short neck and a circular rim. The piece is covered with a reddish-toned glaze. Beneath the glaze, it features circular medallions carved with archaic dragons (chilong) amidst clouds. The white base bears a six-character mark in blue under the glaze (大清康熙年制). Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
