Description.
The rug features a Khesti-style design, composed of a regular grid of individual rectangular panels. Each compartment contains detailed representations of classic Eastern iconography, highlighting variations of the famous Tree of Life, stylized flowering shrubs, vases, and architectural niches inspired by the gardens of paradise. It uses a rich and sophisticated color scheme based on ochre and gold tones, complemented by details in sage green, ivory, terracotta, and dark reddish hues, all rendered in silk. The central field is framed by multiple borders with continuous geometric and floral motifs, finished at the top and bottom edges with short, light-colored silk fringes.
100% silk, 1 million knots per square meter.
Size:: 272 x 183 cm
