Description.
Rectangular-shaped plaque, carved in white jade of uniform tone and translucent texture. The centre of both sides is plain with no inscription, framed by a gently raised moulding. The upper part is decorated with an ornamental panel composed of ruyi-relief scrolls arranged symmetrically on a finely striated background. The edges are wavy at the top. The piece has a perforation at the top for possible suspension. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
