Description.
A carved Shoushan stone in reddish and ochre tones with a rectangular base. The top features a crouching mythical beast, with an elongated body and an open mouth in a ferocious expression, with the musculature and ribs rendered in relief. One side of the base bears an incised inscription. The base bears incised characters and traces of pigment. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). or later.
