Description.
A white jade plaque, finely carved in rectangular form with undulating upper and lower edges. Its surface is decorated with a bas-relief decoration of a symmetrical scene of two butterflies facing each other, one at each end, framing a central reserve with a stylized floral motif that could represent a flower, a symbol of elegance and nobility. The sides have openwork perforations that reinforce the visual lightness of the piece and add depth to the design. Some areas retain traces of ferruginous oxidation, typical of the old material. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
