Description.

A carved natural agate, with a reddish-brown hue. The piece is spindle-shaped, featuring exceptional polychrome banding in its central section, where thin layers of white, cream and orange alternate. The surface has a high-quality vitreous polish. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
