Red lacquer bowl with pedestal, Qing Dynasty

Red lacquer bowl carved with detail. There is a central band of blooming lotuses with curled leaves, interspersed with large-petalled flowers surrounding an auspicious symbol. The background is geometric, with diamonds enclosing rosettes. There are ruyi borders in both directions. The shape is rounded, with an open rim and a circular foot covered by a border of fretwork. It is attached to a carved wooden base with fretwork details. There is some wear.
