Printed on photo paper. The image presents a composition with a distinctly geometric and rustic character, based on the visual contrast of two architectural textures arranged in horizontal bands. The upper half captures in the foreground the detail of a gate or fence made of old, weathered wooden planks in a grayish tone, studded with round-headed nails and topped with a rusty metal lock or plate. The lower half shows a reddish-brown or Corten steel metal surface with signs of corrosion, on which remnants of stenciled white letters can be seen, fragmentarily reading the inscription "...BUILLAS," along with vestiges of torn-down signage. The work stands out for its abstract approach and the subtle textural dialogue between the wood and the metal worn by time. Signed on the reverse in the lower right corner and numbered on the reverse "82/99" in the lower left corner. Year: 2005.
Size: 70 x 50 cm
