Description.
A pendant composed of gilt-bronze beads, quartz and a rose-quartz disc, assembled in the contemporary period. The set consists of two small gilt-bronze spherical beads with embossed decoration from the Yuan dynasty (1271-68), four colourless quartz beads from the Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) with an oval and spherical cross-section, and a large central disc of finely polished rose-quartz, dated to the Warring Kingdoms period (475-221 BC). The various elements were later assembled into a braided thread in shades of pink to maintain chromatic coherence.
