Samson ceramic pot, Iznik style, 19th century

Description.

Beautiful pot with rounded base and everted mouth, flaring feet and rounded body that narrows towards the base. It is profusely decorated with cobalt blue, green and red, representing the body (both in the outside and in the inside) a continued scene of tulips and carnations that grow from long, slender branches and are accompanied by stylized leaves. The narrow foot and mouth are decorated with a blue background fringe, in which a foliate pattern outstands. 

Emile Samson's company was founded in 1845 in Paris and was dedicated to the production of ceramics inspired by many references such as Islamic, Italian and Iznik ceramics.  19th century.
