Description.
A set of ten belt hooks carved in off-white jade with natural caramel-brown inclusions, each carved from a single piece. The forms are elongated, curved and narrow, with a slightly arched section to fit the contour of the belt. On the obverse side, the body of the hook features an elegant openwork carving of coiled dragons with intertwined legs, manes and tails. The dragon's head crowns the upper end with pronounced eyes and a prominent snout, while the lower end has a curvilinear finial with flaming scrolls. The reverse of each piece is equipped with a carved circular button that served as an anchoring system. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
