Set of four Chinese paintings, ‘Garden Scenes’, signed Qiu Ying

Paintings executed in ink and pigments on silk, mounted in four brocade silk frames. The scenes depict literary genre subjects in landscapes: conversation by the river, a game of weiqi under the willows, a walk along footbridges between rocks and contemplation of waterfalls, all in mountainous settings with vegetation and rock formations. Each piece bears the inscription “宝父仇英制”, accompanied by a red seal “仇英”. Qiu Ying (c. 1494–1552).
