Description.
Exceptional ornamental vase with lid, inspired by classic models from the French manufacturer Sèvres. The piece stands out for its ovoid body, profusely decorated with hand-painted rococo-style gallant scenes. The neck, base and lid are made of deep cobalt blue porcelain, enriched with delicate plant motifs and fine gold ribbons. The ensemble is enhanced by rich gilt bronze mounts, including two elegant openwork side handles. Signed “C. Rochette” on the lower right margin of the main scene. It bears the Sèvres manufacturer's mark on the inside of the base.
