Shousang seal, “Coiled Beasts”, Qing Dynasty

A carved Shoushan stone seal in a warm honey-coloured tone, with a square base. The upper rim features a design carved in high relief depicting multiple intertwined dragons, their sinuous bodies following the contours of the piece. One of the sides bears a long incised inscription, whilst the base features characters carved in low relief. Comes with a box lined in blue fabric. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).or later.
