Shousan's seal, “Fierce Lion”, Qing Dynasty

A caramel-coloured Shoushan stone with a polished finish, featuring a rectangular body crowned by the figure of a Buddhist lion. The animal is depicted as alert and fierce, with its jaws open, well-defined musculature and a sinuous tail decorated with fine incisions. Three of the sides of the body are engraved with inscriptions. Qing Dynasty (1644–1911).    or later.
