Description.
Made of Shoushan stone in an intense orange hue. It has a quadrangular shape topped by a lion-like beast with its cub in a protective pose. The manes and facial features are defined with fine incisions. On one side, there is an incised and inked inscription. The base contains an inscription engraved for stamping. The work is presented on a silk pedestal and is preserved in a lined box. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
