Description.
Carved Shoushan stone. It has a rectangular shape topped by the image of a reclining ram, in a serene pose, with its legs tucked under its body and embossed details on its coat, mane and curved horns. One side features an incised calligraphic inscription. The base contains characters engraved for stamping with traces of cinnabar pigment. It comes with a custom-made pedestal and box. Qing dynasty (1644-1912).
