Shoushan seal ‘Scene under the tree’, Qing dynasty

Amber-coloured Shoushan stone. It has a prismatic quadrangular shape with rounded edges, decorated with fine reliefs depicting a scene of scholars conversing under the shade of a gnarled pine tree. An incised inscription can be seen on one of the upper sides. The base contains characters engraved for stamping. It comes with a custom-made pedestal and box.
