Description.
A seal carved in reddish shoushan stone with areas of natural patina in darker tones. The upper part of the seal is carved in great detail, depicting a phoenix among bamboo leaves, a symbol of nobility and good omen. On one side are calligraphic inscriptions, while on the base is the engraved motif in seal calligraphy. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
