Description.
Seal carved from amber-coloured Shoushan stone. The upper knob features a dragon and a phoenix facing each other in high relief against a background of clouds, guarding a central pearl. The base bears a finely executed archaic inscription in sigillate script with traces of red cinnabar. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
