Description.
A large-scale Shoushan stone carving in honey-brown tones with a natural patina, featuring a square base. It depicts a classical landscape of rural pavilions nestled amongst rock formations, gnarled pines and a bridge spanning a winding stream. One of the sides bears a lengthy poetic inscription, whilst the opposite side features the artist’s signature. The printing base retains numerous characters carved in seal script. It is mounted on a wooden plinth lined with embroidered fabric. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
