Description.
Carved ivory-coloured jade piece with natural dark veins. The upper part shows a reclining mythical beast, crafted with details on the back and limbs. The base retains traces of reddish sealing wax and bears the engraved inscription ‘吾知拙养尊’. Ming dynasty (1368–1644)
