Description.
Carved white jade, with subtle ochre-toned flecks. Rectangular, it depicts a small central scene of two beautiful, stylized herons, with open wings and sharp beaks, entwined between winding branches of flowering lotuses. The scene is surrounded by a frame of elegant, superimposed scrolls. All the decorations are incised, with subtle reliefs and openwork elements that give a sense of elegance and delicacy.
