Soviet toy sewing machine ZŠM Orsha, ca. 1950-1960

Soviet toy sewing machine ZŠM Orsha, made of cast iron enamelled in olive green with delicate floral decorations and piping in gold and red tones. The machine body rests on a rectangular varnished wooden base that incorporates a small compartment for accessories. The working mechanism is manually operated by a black metal handwheel with a turned wooden crank. The lot is complete, accompanied by its original brown textured cardboard carrying case with a fabric handle, as well as its original paper instruction manual with a period illustration and text in Cyrillic script. Soviet Union (USSR), c. 1950–1960. Minor imperfections on the machine and the inside of the case lid, consistent with age.
