Square porcelain plate, ‘The Hutchison Family’, 20th century

Glazed and polychrome porcelain, square in shape with bevelled corners. The centre features the coat of arms of the Scottish Hutchison family, surmounted by a helmet with a phoenix and mantling. The design is completed by four bouquets of flowers. The rim features a geometric border with gilded plant motifs. The base bears a four-character stamp (永勝堂製).
