Tangka ‘Mahasiddha Nāropa’, 20th century

Ink and pigments on canvas, depicting Mahasiddha Nāropa as the central figure, bearded and crowned, seated and framed by a halo with clouds and flaming motifs. He holds golden vajras in his hands. The scene is completed with a rich array of characters as well as protective dragons and landscapes illustrating episodes from his path to enlightenment.
