Description.
Exceptional French closed-mouth doll, considered one of the most valuable pieces from the Jumeau factory. It has a biscuit head with glass eyes, pierced ears and an articulated body made of ‘Médaille d'Or’ composition. Marks on the back of the neck: ‘DÉPOSÉ / TÉTE JUMEAU / Bté S.G.D.G. / 11’ in red stamp and stamp on the body: ‘JUMEAU / MÉDAILLE D'OR / PARIS’. 19th century (ca. 1885-1891).
