Description.
Watercolour on paper. An 18th-century-style genre scene set in the gardens of a stately home, in which a young lady picks up the end of a strand of wool alongside a gallant gentleman. Signed ‘T. R. Lamont’ in the lower left-hand corner. On the reverse, it retains a handwritten label from the period bearing the title and the artist’s name.
