Description.
A pendant comprising three Dzi-style agate beads. The central, spindle-shaped bead features a ‘nine-eye’ design defined by white circles and sinuous lines against a dark background. It is flanked by two smaller beads of a similar shape and geometric decoration. The piece is finished with gold-plated metal end caps. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
Bead sizes: 12 x 58 mm; 9.5 x 14 mm (approx.) (x2).
