Description.
Tianhuang stone seal carved in amber orange with a natural sheen. It has a rectangular body with a rounded top. It is adorned with a complex relief depicting two stylized imperial dragons chasing a flaming pearl amid clouds and churning waves. The matrix bears the inscription ‘五福敕锡’, flanked by two intertwined dragons, and a calligraphic inscription on the side with the legend ‘敕隆歲次 依天大中帝家’. It comes in a custom-made dark wood box with inscription. Qing dynasty (1644-1912).
