Description.
Tianhuang stone seal, honey yellow in colour with reddish veins. The shape is irregular and elongated, with a rounded top. Decorated with a relief scene of a heron among pine trees and flowers, with the signature ‘牧甫’ engraved on one side. The matrix shows engraved characters ‘蠶如金石’. With a cylindrical box lined with cloth and a label “蠶如金石” ‘清田黄薄钱藏’. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
