Description.
Twelve jade seals of great purity and white, with natural reddish-ochre veins. Each seal is topped with the figure of one of the animals of the Chinese zodiac (rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig). The bases are square and contain characters engraved in cinnabar red ink on their underside. The set come into its original case lined with brocade silk with traditional motifs. Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
