Description.
Second edition of the facsimile, produced in 2008, of the work by the specialist Ulrich von Schroeder published in 1981 by Hong Kong: Visual Dharma Publications. It shows the sixteen-year study of the stylistic evolution of bronze images made in northern India, the Himalayas, Tibet and China during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Copy no. 66, comprising a total of 576 numbered pages. The text includes glossary, bibliography and index, as well as a list of the current locations of the bronzes illustrated. Bound in dark red imitation leather, with gilt lettering and images on the front cover and spine.
