Description.

A porcelain vase with a stylised silhouette, a cylindrical body and a wide trumpet-shaped mouth, decorated in fencai enamel on a pink background. The decoration features a profusion of floral and vegetal motifs arranged in horizontal stripes running around the body of the piece. At the top, above the neck, are large open flowers, such as peonies and chrysanthemums, accompanied by undulating branches and stylised leaves, all in vivid shades of blue, yellow, green and pink, with details outlined in black and gold enamel. The central body is divided by a moulded band decorated with flowers on a dotted pink background, framed by leiwen-style fretwork in light blue. Above and below this band, inverted lance-shaped leaf motifs are repeated, alternating shades of green and yellow with black detailing.

The base and mouth are finished with fine gold lines. The inside of the vase, as well as the outer base, are covered with a uniform aquamarine-green glaze. On the base is a six-character seal ‘大清乾隆年制’ in blue enamel. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
