Description.
The instrument features a soundboard with a straight, even grain and a wooden back finished with a golden-brown varnish, showing areas of natural wear that enhance its age. The body has a classic profile with elegantly carved f-holes and finely purfled edges. It has an ebony fingerboard, a black tailpiece with built-in fine tuners, a light wood bridge, and a black chinrest. The upper pegbox is topped with a well-proportioned, traditionally carved scroll and dark wood pegs. Following models of the Neapolitan school, 18th century. Includes a black case and two bows.
From Switzerland, private family collection.
