It features a flared foot upon which rests a circular body, followed by a neck flanked by two slender zoomorphic handles in the shape of elephant heads with movable rings, and crowned by a concave lid with relief decorations of scrollwork, topped by an openwork image of a fierce dragon. Both sides of the body feature a central medallion depicting a five-clawed imperial dragon soaring through swirling clouds in search of the flaming pearl.
