Description.
A creamy white Hetian jade figure with an exceptional polish. It depicts a rounded elephant alongside which are arranged figures of children. The piece displays meticulous carving that defines the folds of the animal's skin, the children's clothing and the ornaments they wear. Their faces have an expression of joy and serenity. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
